BBQ at Cordelia's

Friday, we spent the day at Cordelia's who is a friend of Pai's. They used to live in the same village in Samoa and she's now been living in Auckland with her family for over 3 years.

We enjoyed a bbq with Cordelia, her husband, her brother and her cousin.




Cordelia's mum joined us later in the afternoon.



And the girls had a very good time too.



Thank you very much to Cordelia and family for this very nice day.

5th of July 2007

Today, i wake up one day older ... like everyday :-)
To celebrate that, the GIRLS invited me to Swashbucklers, Kristy & Kelly's (who joined us yesterday from Coromandel where she lives) dad's restaurant.



As you can see, the company is good (and girly)!!!



As usual, it's hard for me to decide what to eat ...



... but the choice ain't bad, hey !



Caitlyne is making sure that Yéléna is eating too



And another surprise is waiting for me back home

Auckland museum

We went to visit Auckland museum this afternoon.







Everybody is having a good time, including Yelena !

Winter, family and jetlag

Arriving in the southern hemisphere brought us back to winter...yeah, after only 10 days of summer !!! Therefore, it's not very hot and it's been raining since we arrived.

Luckily we can enjoy spending our time with Pai's family. We had dinner last night with Kristy and Becca (Pai's cousin and aunt) and today Sunita (Pai's cousin) came to say hi.





Apart from that, we're struggling to overcome the jetlag. Caitlyne was awake from 2am to 7am. Yéléna woke up a few times during the night too. So waking up was very hard for everybody and the afternoon was too long for the girls :-)

Bad weekend for New Zealand

People are focused on two things in New Zealand: rugby and sailing. This weekend, the All Blacks lost to Australia 15-20 their tri-nation rugby game and Team New Zealand lost the 6th round of the America's Cup sailing race against Swiss boat Alinghi (they're now down 2-4).

It's all over the news and everybody's very disappointed. This year, all rugby fans' minds are focused on the world cup but in sailing it's going to be hard to bring the America's cup back to Auckland because first boat with five victories wins the cup ! Good luck to them anyway.
